Joseph Rocco Cervasio The song that would end the screenplay for Bad News on the Doorstep. Indeed, it is timeless, a masterpiece by Dion. Little known fact: Dion wrote this song as he was bussing to Green Bay, Wisconsin on February 3, 1959, not knowing of the crash that early morning of the Buddy Holly plane. Because of the shock of the event and his own personal challenges, Dion did not publish this song until the early 2000's. The album Bop Shoo Bop has other special songs that lament the huge loss of Holly, Ritchie Valens and the Big Bopper on... the Day the Music died, ... when we all found Bad News on the Doorstep..
