Well, "New friends are like silver," my late mother once told me. "But, the old, ... like gold."
Gerry Corbo and Joe Cervasio go way back to the fifties and days of old summers, ... perhaps bumping into each other at Charlie Buccino's Italian Deli on Franklin Street in the Silver Lake section of Belleville, picking up a pound of balogne or some Giordano rolls; and those endless double sessions of football practice at Belleville High.
So, this reader's review is a bit prejudiced. "Gerry does know the true story, ... Bad News'... characters are hardly fictionalized. Unlike a reader from Southern California, my old friend's imagination took him on nostalgic rides with each word." Author Cervasio concludes, "Yea, old friends are like gold."
Bad News on the Doorstep is now available in Kindle format. Just go to www.amazon.com and search Cervasio Bad News on the Doorstep. Joe's second book, Now or Never: The 11 Secrets of Arimathea, can also be ordered there.
