Pete Noyes, Coordinator of Alumni Relations for the Cornell Football Association, had been busy finishing up his first time through Joe Cervasio's Now or Never: The 11 Secrets of Arimathea. But, before he would write a review of Joe's second book, Pete, who lived it all in the fifties and early sixties, insisted he first comment on Bad News on the Doorstep.
"Having grown up on the doorstep of Yankee Stadium and the Polo Grounds during the fifties and sixties, Joe Cervasio hit a grand slam in bringing me back to those glorious days of my youth. This a page turner that makes me think of watching Willie Mays beat the Dodgers in the bottom of the ninth, seeing Alan Ameche score from two yards out in 'the greatest game ever played' in sudden death overtime, listening to Cousin Bruce and the 'good guys' spin my favorite hits, and spending a fantastic week at the Jersey Shore with my family for 30 straight years. All of the nostalgic and profound feelings come back as Joe masterly tells his story of similar feelings. This is a great book , I loved it and it's only fitting I read it on the beach at Stone Harbor ... Jersey Shore."
Then he finished ... the 11 Secrets, and penned the following:
"Now or Never : The 11 Secrets of Arimathea -The greatest story never told...
"Being a football coach, I know you win with the basics. The same is true in life, and Now or Never : The 11 Secrets of Arimathea is the greatest story every person needs to read. Joe Cervasio tells the biblical story of Joseph of Arimathea, the followers of Jesus Christ, and how they strived to follow the basic principles of the 11 secrets.
"Reading like a novel, each chapter builds and solidifies the message: 'Live humbly and fully in the present and know that the past and future are unchangeable and uncontrollable illusions'.
"This is a great book; it inspires and delivers the keys to true happiness and success, for all times. I loved it.
"Joe Cervasio lives it, and so will the reader!"

PS: "By the way, this is one you keep next to the bed, ... to be read over and over."
