Good News Follows Bad News for Local Author
During the session Mr. Cervasio, born in Newark, raised in Belleville, and a Nutleyresident today, will be discussing and teaching the relevance of his second project, Now or Never: The 11 Secrets of Arimathea. After 38 years in the hospitality, real estate, and travel industries, the author has penned a didactic spiritual novel that speaks to executive leaders and common people, adults and children alike. His extensive sales, marketing, and organizational development skills have driven Mr. Cervasio to list the top 11 principles that cannot be ignored to drive oneself out of depression and recession to personal and organizational success.
The title of Joe’s first book, Bad News on the Doorstep, was taken from the Don McLean lyric in his legendary rock ‘n’ roll anthem of 1971, “American Pie.” The fictionalize memoir has developed a cult following in New Jersey and around the country as it depicts growing up in Nutley, Belleville, and Newark during the enigmatic Fifties. The names, places, and traditions are most familiar to the reader who remembers The Four Seasons, Joe Pesci, Connie Francis, Dion and the Belmonts, the Buddy Holly crash, Sunday macaroni at Grandma’s, and closer to home, the legendary “Mud Bowl” football game between Belleville and Nutley High Schools back in 1957.
But Joe’s second work, available from Xulon Press, the Florida-based inspirational publisher, will change the lives of all who read it. This time we are far from the streets of Jersey, instead rushing through the markets, courtyards, and alleyways of Biblical Jerusalem. And just as with Bad News…, life-changing lessons are taught. Some early reaction:
"Joe Cervasio’s lessons in Now or Never: The 11 Secrets of Arimathea could surely have helped the wonderful Biblical characters he introduces. But in the 21st Century, I can also assure you his Secrets will assist a young kid trying to hit a curve ball, a major leaguer attempting to stay focused in the mesmerizing world of professional baseball, or just anyone reaching for goals to fulfill a destiny. And what a story he tells!" -- Dan Shaughnessy, award-winning author and sportswriter for the Boston
“Not only does Mr. Cervasio weave a mystifying tale unfolding 2000 years ago in the alleyways, markets, and countryside in and around Jerusalem, but he also reveals powerful Secrets to living each of us can apply today. He’s created a fundamental, yet profound formula for individuals to efficiently and effectively channel their talents and strengths into each moment, thereby fulfilling their destinies.”-- Gerhard Gshwandtner, publisher, Selling Power Magazine.
